PLAYOFF CHAMPIONS!

The Arctic Foxes are proud to boast 3 PAHL Playoff Champions for the 2023-24 season!

PW1, under the direction of head coach Mike Fayad, was able to secure their banner by doing it the hard way: They overcame a 0-3 deficit in game one to win 4-3 in double overtime, bested the regular season banner winners in the second game 5-3 after being down twice throughout the game, and were able to triumph in the championship game over a team that had beaten them both times in the regular season. This team showed a never-quit attitude and a truly remarkable will to win - Congratulations PW1!!

16U-3, coached by Todd Zerega, had a strong season throughout - compiling a 17-1-4 PAHL record and winning both the regular season and playoff banners! Getting the bye into the 2nd round of the playoffs, the team secured their spot in the championship game with a strong 4-1 victory in the semi-final round. In the final game, with the score tied 1-1 with 45 seconds left in the 3rd period and killing a late penalty, the Foxes were able to intercept a centering pass in their own end and clear it up the boards where it was picked up and buried at the other end to secure the win with 16 seconds left! Congratulations 16U-3!!

18U-2, led by Glenn Birkenfeld, capped their season by sending 12 graduating seniors out in style - but not without a little nail biting! With the Foxes up 2-1 with 27 seconds left in the 3rd, their opponent pulled their goalie and was able to tie it up and send it to OT. Goaltending came up huge, turning aside a breakaway with 23 seconds left in the extra frame, and the game went into double overtime. Playing with a 4-on-3 man advantage, the Foxes had enough and were able to bang home a rebound and pull out the 3-2 win! Congratulations 18U-2!!
